My first sew of the year! I wasn’t planning on sewing a kimono this month- I’m busy working on finishing up the UFOs in my sewing room drawer- but Patterns4Pirates is hosting P4PCardiWeek and I couldn’t resist. I bought this pattern from them last summer and this is the first one I’ve sewn up so far.
The fabric is a cotton/rayon blend and I used about two yards of it to make this Summer Kimono in robe length (Size XL – It’s a gift for my pregnant sister). It took me about two hours from printing the pattern out to finishing and is a very simple project. So quick and simple, I would definitely recommend it for beginner sewers.
